One of my favorite parts of taking family photography is being surrounded by the love. When you ask a parent or grand-parent to describe a memory or to just interact with their family, they become unaware of the camera and transform. Suddenly they have this glow about them, and that is the part I love to capture.
Between the constant rain that only decided to stop when we were finished shooting, the extremely energetic toddlers, and grandma being pushed into the mud, this shoot was anything but boring. I do love a challenge!
